An extensive extended voyage through the Australian Coast was terminated following the fatal incident of an elderly lady who was left behind by the vessel on a remote island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with shipmates from the cruise ship, but separated from the group for a break. The ship left without her and went back after some time after the personnel realised the lady was not present.

A major hunt discovered her person the following day.

Investigative bodies are looking into the incident, alongside police and the state coroner.

Chief Executive of the shipping company stated that guests and personnel on the vessel were informed that the continuation of the cruise had been called off due to the "sad loss and previous mechanical issues".

In a statement, he added that passengers would be issued a total repayment, and said the company was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the passengers via chartered flights".

Officials also published an latest announcement, and said they had "issued a notice to the Commander" prohibiting any additional guests from getting on the ship.
