The UK is prepared to move forward with utilizing the full worth of immobilized Russian holdings to bolster Ukraine's defense operations, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany emphasized that this joint measure would escalate tension on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.

British restrictions have immobilized over £25bn of Russian assets since Russia initiated its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, up to this point, resources allocated to Ukraine using Russian holdings had only been drawn from earnings and returns earned on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were aligned in their desire to drive progress toward employing the complete amount of the immobilized Moscow's national holdings to end the war.

He stated that more restrictions in the coming days and weeks would increase the strain on Russia.

This declaration comes after European leaders gathered in Copenhagen recently to discuss utilizing frozen Russian holdings for a 140-billion-euro credit to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, US President Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to seize or employ seized Russian holdings, according to media sources.

The total of immobilized Russia's assets in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.
